Christmas, Community, and Coming Home
A Homes of Worth reflection
There are moments in real estate that have nothing to do with contracts, comps, or keys—and everything to do with people.
This Christmas, Brent and I loaded up the car with our two ever-enthusiastic co-pilots, Banjo and Hoss, and went to visit family in a nursing home. No agenda. No schedule. Just presence. The kind that doesn’t announce itself, but somehow fills the room anyway.
Banjo led with curiosity. Hoss followed with his steady calm. Together, they did what dogs do best—lowered shoulders, softened eyes, and reminded everyone (including us) that joy doesn’t require much square footage.
There were stories told—some remembered perfectly, others stitched together with laughter and love. Hands held. Photos snapped. A few tears that felt more like gratitude than sadness. In that space, “home” wasn’t defined by walls or addresses. It was defined by connection.
At Homes of Worth, we often say that real estate is more than a transaction—it’s a transition. Days like this make that truth unmistakably clear. Homes carry our histories. They witness our seasons. And eventually, they pass the torch to the next chapter.
For many families, that chapter includes downsizing, moving closer to loved ones, or navigating a change that feels both necessary and emotional. These decisions aren’t just logistical—they’re deeply human. And they deserve care, patience, and respect.
This season, I’m reminded that the heart of this work isn’t moving people out of homes—it’s helping them move forward, with dignity and clarity, into what’s next.
From our family (and two very good dogs) to yours:
May your holidays be filled with warmth, meaningful moments, and the quiet assurance that home—wherever it is—is never far from love.
With gratitude,
Stacy & Brent and our Mascotts, Banjo & Hoss
