When Clients Become Family: An Honor Flight I’ll Never Forget
A Homes of Worth story
Some stories arrive through referrals.
Some through front doors.
And some—rare, meaningful ones—circle back and remind you why you chose this work in the first place.
Last month, I had the profound honor of attending Larry’s Honor Flight, invited by two people who mean a great deal to me—not just as clients, but as part of the Homes of Worth story.
Larry once sold his home with Homes of Worth.
Kathy once trusted me with hers.
Life, in its quiet brilliance, brought them together—and eventually into marriage. Watching two chapters become one is already a gift. Being invited to witness something as sacred as Larry’s Honor Flight? That was humbling beyond words.
For those unfamiliar, an Honor Flight is a journey of recognition—bringing veterans to Washington, D.C. to visit the memorials built in their honor. It is reverent. Emotional. Grounding. The kind of experience that recalibrates your sense of time and gratitude.
There were moments of silence that said everything.
Moments of pride that stood tall without needing explanation.
Moments where history didn’t feel distant—it felt alive.
As I stood there, I realized something that has become increasingly clear over the years:
Real estate is never just real estate.
Homes are where lives unfold.
Where people gather courage.
Where love finds its timing.
Where service, sacrifice, and legacy quietly reside.
At Homes of Worth, I often work with clients during moments of change—selling a home before a marriage, after a loss, before a move, or at the start of something new. These transitions deserve more than efficiency. They deserve respect.
Larry and Kathy reminded me that when you treat people with care in one chapter, you may be invited into the most meaningful chapters that follow.
To be trusted not only with keys and contracts—but with presence—will never be something I take lightly.
Larry, thank you for your service.
Kathy, thank you for your grace.
And thank you both for reminding me that the true value of a home isn’t measured in square feet—but in the lives lived within and beyond it.
and Happy Anniversary!!!
